💖 This morning I am prepping for another full day of Reiki sessions! 💖 Below is a bit of information for those who wish to receive a treatment. What to do before, during and after a session. How best to prepare for a treatment (recommended):... 1. Beginning the day before your session, drink plenty of water, eat light and eat whole foods. Try to avoid, processed foods. Please refrain from alcohol and drugs. 2. Open your heart and mind to the session. "I am open to receiving". 3. Wear comfortable clothing. 4. Let the practitioner know in advance of allergies and/or intolerances to scents. What to do during a treatment: 1. Breathe. (No shallow breathing). 2. Relax. Very important as it helps move the energy in, around and out of the body. 3. Place arms in a natural and comfortable position at each side of your trunk. 4. Rest your legs side by each and do not cross them, even at the feet. 5. Communicate with your practitioner if you experience discomfort, get hot or cold, so that proper adjustments can be made. After care: 1. Drink plenty of water. 2. Most likely you will be hungry. Try to stick with healthier food for at least the remainder of the day. 3. Get a good night's sleep. 4. If you can, take a nice bath with Epsom salts. Healing continues after the session and can take anywhere from a few days to a week. Straight after a session you may feel energized but may also experience a drop in energy soon after. This is your body slowing down to heal. Listen and make that time for yourself. Go to bed a bit earlier, if you can. Be open to the emotional response of release. Who comes for a session? Those who just feel wound up and are in need of relaxation and to be helped back into alignment. Also, clients who experience anxiety, depression, grief, PTSD, chronic pain relief and insomnia can get a lot out of a session(s). I have experience in treating all mentioned. A practitioner can show you the healing path and help you to begin the process, but the actual work is done by you. You have to open yourself and become aware of your own healing capabilities. This is done in your own time frame. This can be tricky for some at the start and if you need it, extra support is provided. I practice additional after care with those who come to see me. If you need to talk, I will make myself available for guidance, or just to listen. This is heart 🙌💜🙌 centered healing. This is Healing Energy-Painted Chakras and Stairways.
